THE ATHLETES
Bobby Brown
Category: AthletesAbout
Bobby Brown is one of the world’s best slopestyle and big air skiers, but he hardly took the typical route ski stardom. Bobby grew up in Denver, Colorado, where he skied weekends at Breckenridge and Keystone, but focused his athletic energies in more “usual” sports on weekdays. During his senior year in high school, Bobby was the starting quarterback for his high-school football team, but that same year he exploded onto the ski scene with a groundbreaking 2010 X Games performance.
First he dominated the slopestyle en route to a gold medal, then he landed the first ever switch double misty 1440 in the nighttime big air, earning a perfect score in the big air (also a first-ever for big air). Since his breakthrough season, Bobby has parlayed an unreal air sense into six X Games medals, plus podium spots in countless other events.
